The Black Friday 2026 offer itself isn't announced yet — Amazon typically flips it on in mid-November — but you may not need to wait: as of October 25, 2026, Audible is already running a Prime-member offer of $0.99/month for 4 months plus a $20 credit on its new Standard plan (renews at $8.99/mo), and Kindle Unlimited's 3-months-for-$0.99 promo is live again for new and returning subscribers. Audible Black Friday: the deal pattern (and what to expect in 2026)

Audible is unusually predictable here. The company reserves its steepest discount of the year for the Black Friday–Cyber Monday window and reruns essentially the same offer annually. For Black Friday 2025 the deal was three months of Premium Plus for $0.99/month plus a $20 Audible credit for new members and Prime members — TechRadar called it the best Audible deal of the year. It went live in the week of Black Friday and, as usual, Audible extended it well past the weekend — that year all the way into late January.

Two things to know before you count on it. First, the deal is for new members and lapsed members — if you have an active plan today, it won't apply. Second, after the promo months it renews at the plan's full rate — $8.99/month on Standard, $14.95/month on Premium Plus — unless you cancel, which you can do any time. The credits you spend during the promo, though, are yours to keep permanently — the same keep-your-books rule that governs a normal Audible free trial — if the promo is on Premium Plus. Which brings us to the one thing that changed this year.

New for 2026: the deal may land on Audible Standard — and that changes the keep-your-books rule

In March 2026 Audible launched a cheaper Standard plan at $8.99/month. It still gives you one credit a month for any audiobook in the catalog, but you only keep the title while your membership is active — cancel and it goes away. Premium Plus ($14.95/month) is the plan where the books you buy with credits are yours forever. Both of Audible's 2026 promos so far (October Prime Big Deal Days, and the Prime-member offer live now) have been on Standard, with the $8.99 renewal price to match.

That doesn't make the deal worse — $0.99 a month for a credit plus a $20 bonus is still the cheapest way to listen to three or four premium audiobooks. It just means the Black Friday math is "rent four books for about $4" rather than "own four books for about $4", unless Audible puts the offer on Premium Plus this year. Is the Black Friday deal actually better than the free trial?

This is the question no aggregator answers, and the honest answer is it depends on how many books you want. Audible runs two different "cheap way in" offers, and they're not the same:

The verdict: if you only want to test Audible or grab one audiobook, don't wait for Black Friday — the free trial gives you a credit for $0 today, and that book is yours forever whether you stay or not. If you want to stock a library — three or more premium audiobooks — the Black Friday promo is the cheapest way to do it, because three months of credits for about $3 works out to roughly a dollar a book versus the ~$14.95 a credit costs at full price. In a year with the $20 bonus credit, the Black Friday math gets even better. Just set a reminder to cancel before month four if you don't want the full-price renewal.

Kindle Unlimited & Kindle device Black Friday deals

The Kindle side of Black Friday splits into two very different offers: the Kindle Unlimited subscription and the Kindle e-reader hardware.

Kindle Unlimited mirrors Audible — and here you genuinely don't need to wait. As of late October 2026 Amazon has quietly brought back three months of Kindle Unlimited for $0.99 for new subscribers and for returning ones who haven't used a promo recently (US accounts; active subscribers excluded). It's the same offer Amazon ran for Black Friday 2025 — a 97% discount off the $35.97 those months would normally cost — which went live Black Friday week and ran through the Cyber Monday cutoff, per Tom's Guide. It renews at the standard $11.99/month afterward and, like the Audible deal, is only for accounts without an active subscription. If you read ebooks, this is the moment to start — whether Kindle Unlimited is worth it turns almost entirely on how many books a month you read, and $0.99 for three months removes the risk of finding out.

Kindle devices see their deepest discounts of the year too. In 2025 the lineup was marked down up to 40% off across the range: the all-new Kindle Paperwhite fell to about $129.99 (from $159.99), the entry Kindle dropped to roughly $84.99, and Colorsoft, Scribe, and Kids models joined the sale — many bundled with three free months of Kindle Unlimited.
